about

About a girl that washed me away.

"There is often music that could only be made by that person..so unique in its set up and execution that you can help but smile as music like this is rarely this honest. synthesizing acoustic guitar emo post hardcore diddies with earnest vocals doesn't sound like the recipe for a unique take but I can assure you 20 seconds in and you will be sucked in. Riffs are charming and borrow equal parts from indie rock as folk and singer songwriter. Melodies are often unique and double tracked with interesting harmonies thrown in. The fact that this is all done on an IPad is obviously but really adds to the how carefully constructed this all is. At any moment things could fall apart but until then enjoy. Lyrics can be a bit cloying at times but it never really takes away from the songs. Each song holds its own identity while creating something new each time. If you are looking for something inventive... look no further."

Track Name: Happiness & Torture
I walked far away from home, alone
so you followed me, and made not a sound.
You said "I didn't know where to go without you standing next to me."
So desperately.
Your eyes looked so menacing.
Would you care to sing away the sorrows and lull me back to sleep?

Can you hear them call out to you?

The voices in your heard are fading away, but never have mine been sedated enough to stay at bay.

Swim any further and you're bound to recover the light we once lost in the tunnels beneath.

You're destined to, I swear it.

Can you hear them call out to you? (crying out)
Track Name: Sent Adrift
One day you left this cold and barren wasteland in search of something more, in search of solace, of course. But if you stare straight down below, you'll see the sky has fallen. The time has come for you to know the truth. But you know what I noticed, that you don't wanna know this. So I won't even waste my breath and speak another moment. For all I've ever known is the way you always folded in the face of disease. And this place will remain the same way you left it, desolate and beyond repair.

Lately I've been dying to find you, but I can't seem to depart from the discords.

I keep remembering this moment.
The one where there took me away.
And I heard the flicker of the fire.
I can still hear it in the distance.

If I survive the winter, will you remember my face in the summer?
If all of the autumn leaves fell from the trees, would new life spring from the piles they have made underneath?

Your eyes are glaring from the death stare you're shooting at me.
But beware all of the fires as they surround us again.
This time I doubt we'll make it out alive.

If I survive the winter, will you remember my face in the summer?
If all of the autumn leaves fell from the trees, would new life spring from the piles they have made underneath?
And I've been thinking that this could be the perfect time to fall asleep.
For my days here have been the worst that I have seen.

I keep remembering that moment.
When I thought that I was here to stay.
But the shipwreck made everybody panic, and the rivers washed us away.

Your eyes are glaring from the death stare you're shooting at me.
But beware all of the fires as they surround us again.
This time I doubt we'll make it out alive.

One day you will return, broken and jaded. You never found what you've been searching for, now did you? I never wanted to leave, you never to be. Now here we stand, hand in hand, face to face with this plague.
Track Name: Falling Into
Maybe no one knows why no one spoke of these disasters yet to come pouring from the corners of your face. But if so, then who knows where I'll go. Left to wander the unknown, in this cold I froze alone.

May my screams disturb your sleep as you tremble at the sight of your fortress falling off into my hands. Promises are forgotten natives of this land. So here goes your repose, I suppose you'll want that back. But it's a little too late for that. I'm sorry, you're trapped here. But do not fear, an escape is underway.
Track Name: Lost at Sea
I never told her "If you pull me closer, I'll be on my way." You'll call me over, but once you're sober you'll have nothing to say. Now once again I'm staring at the ceiling trying to ward off this sinking feeling.

And I awoke to the sound of decay rush from your aging face. (It's true)
But don't just stand there, wake me up from this nightmare.

Don't you remember that one December, before it got erased? So now I sever all of these tethers, and break from your embrace. but this is not the life you wanted. The colors washing off of the writings on the walls. Can you sing them back to me?

And I arose to the sight of your frame crumble and fade away. (You're bruised) Listen I'm sorry that I could not write it all down for you.

Tell me this disaster is not what you were after, but watch it pull me underground
just
like
children full of wonder whose world was torn asunder by cities turned to cinders and dust. If you abandon all your lovers, you're doomed to writhe and suffer wherever you may go, and I
trust
that
you will sit in silence and cling to all your vices.
In doing so, leaving you crushed
Track Name: The Raging Storm
At the start of our story, I'll be the one who didn't see this coming. And by the time that it's over, you were a proper catastrophe.

If all of this is meant to be, then maybe you'll reveal to me the secrets that you keep. But you're buried in your secrecy, and I'm chest deep in misery, you see?

Where's my company?

And after everything you said to me, you still became the only thing you said you'd never be. Another sharp pain fading from my memory. You're the epitome of the black hole in the pit of me.

I know you've heard the saying, that when it rains then it pours. You know better than anyone. I remember when your eyes traced lines and we followed them back, back to the start of it all falling apart right in front of us.

All of the pieces repair whenever you're gone. But as soon as I leave the storm rages on. (Hopelessness) And if you don't believe me, see for yourself. The darkest days are upon us now. Spiraling downward into the abyss where I'm crippled by all of this destruction.

Have you seen time through the hourglass? Sometimes I think maybe you have, so I'll never ask you again where it went. But at what time will this hour pass?I cannot believe that I've seen what lies under the mask. Lovesickness and hopelessness. Our history has come to pass.

You say you've come to kill me. I say "Do what you must. But, I know you miss those days before they got away from us."
Track Name: Crashing Waves
I still dream of you sometimes. And I can't help but miss your face. So I'll keep singing you these lies to take away your disease, the one that gives you hope. So when you think of me you choke, and all the cigarettes you smoke won't numb the pain.

I'll always wonder where it started, but it seems nowhere to be found. So I'll keep searching in the darkness, with hopes that we will never see their faces again.

Remember that night you sat there crying underneath a staircase? And I had nothing more to say to you besides, "Come outside and enjoy the rain." Cos it's ripping right through me. I figured you must've known from all the daggers you've thrown that you might end up alone. Sit back and reap what you've sewn. They say the storm will come for me another day, so take my hand, and we can finally drift away.

This misery was meant to be, but maybe you weren't meant for me.

I'll always wonder where it started, but it seems nowhere to be found. So I'll keep searching in the darkness, with hopes that we will never see their faces again.

Shelter my eyes from the sun. My dying senses revive. For I am nothing more. Just another passing, not far from collapsing. Shelter my eyes from the sun. I once contained multitudes. But now I'm nothing more than the dreamer. Insanity will recreate my masterpiece. Forever, the fantasy has captured me. And I say now unto thee, my last decree. Go to the street. Go into the street and part the numbers.
Track Name: Final Breaths Before Drowning
Dearest love, I've been lying here for what seems like a thousand years, and you're still asleep. But if all you're words did mean nothing, you wouldn't care to see my face withering.

But if you were still awake, this wouldn't be such a mystery. So I guess I'll tell you in the morning.

Unless the sirens lure me in with their lullabies. Well aren't you just a refreshing view for tired eyes. Pour out the ocean and condemn us. That's all I ask of you enchantress.

But if you were still awake, this wouldn't be such a mystery. So I guess I'll tell you in the morning.

Shattered by the changing of seasons. I figured you had your reasons for what you've done. And when you cut yourself on the pieces, I hope you remember this boy losing his poise again. With a bottle of his choice, as the solace leaves his voice. Just a shell of a broken boy.

But if you were still awake, this wouldn't be such a mystery. So I guess I'll tell you in the morning.
That when you escape the pain, you'll remember something you once told me.

I'm better off without you, so I forgot about you. I mean, not really..but I try to and to no avail. I had to watch the whole city send my ship sailing down to the bottom of the riverbank. Why don't we review a compilation of all of these complications. Let's face it this room is vacant, and who am I talking to, you? No I don't think so, it's been awhile since we spoke, but sometimes it just don't feel long enough.
(But tell me) Why'd you pull me under and pillage all my villages? Maaan, every time my suns rise I watch em set in the sand. And damn, all I really wanted was the touch of your hand, but nevermind that. Back to the lab again to synthesize pathogens for practice, and spread em to the masses. Wait no, GoGoGadget statement retracted. If I can piece together fragments, then why the fuck can't I stop thinking? Just how much longer will I wonder what happened to the world I knew? And how much longer will I suffer? Aimless and left to wander these halls (lead me to the end of the corridor in a room where) these walls say the strangest things I've ever heard) before you left for that new life, and deciding to cry under the night sky.

Forgive me darling, I must leave you now. I know you saw this day coming and thought that I would return to you. This ship is sinking, don't forget my face as it rises above the surface, just to see yours.
